Meh, not me. If I want to get shot up by a bunch of kids with staff weapons I'll just dial up that RP planet in SL.

Wooo GMod Stargate can be good if you have decent people who arn't 10 and just try to kill you. We made a fully functional sgc computer system which was epic

If they have a demo or trial period, I'll download it and see if it's worth the $$, otherwise, I'll wait until the franchise has a real First Person Shooter before going all-in. (and no, my idea of a good SG game is not simply whether or not it has Zatnikitels or whether or not they're true to the show)

Stargate: Resistance is crap. I purchased the game not really knowing exactly what it was, and its really boring, the graphics aren't that great, your in game options are limited, the whole thing just wasn't that exciting, it was like any other "Capture the *item*", Death Match game, just with Stargate ish items / costumes. Really pathetic

I played a demo of it and wasn't impressed at all. The Stargate stuff in Second Life looks better...and that's saying something.

Kyle brought the game over and ran it on my PC two months ago. It basically looked as though they took the Stargate Atlantis/SG-1 map from a community-made site of Half-Life 2 Deathmatch and integrated it into their game, as the SG-1 base was basically mapped the same way. Only thing I noticed different was the much better graphical detail in it, oh and the PhysX support the video card was using to process the Stargate ripples.

Basically it's a Half-Life 2: Deathmatch but with Stargate weapons and models, a few tweaks with the game mode. Nothing more than that from the looks of things. It's a bummer the developers filed for Chapter 11 however. At least they are still working on things.
